Wow...where have I been?!

Hey everyone,
I guess I should start off by saying that I am so very sorry for not posting on my blog or my youtube pages for, hmmmmmm, 5 months or so.  I have lots of updates and fun things to share but as of right now I don't have a decent camera to film anything.  The one on my laptop is horrible horrible and it pisses me off hehe!  I guess I could update you all just a little bit right here.  Before I begin and before you start reading this, I have to warn you this is not an entirely beauty related blog post.  It is more like a conglomeration of stuff.  Well let's see, my last video and blog posts were somewhere around October and right around there is when I started getting swamped with things I had to do for school to get ready to graduate in December.  I was taking 19 credits but 2 of them really didn't count because I volunteered my time for the class.  I was a teaching assistant or a T.A. for short for two classes and then I was taking 3 of my own classes.  My time in my last semester as a senior was amazing and I really miss school.  I miss school so much that I am volunteering my time again this spring semester as a T.A. for Research Methods.  It is an upper level 5 credit course students are required to take if they want to graduate with a Psychology degree.  I really enjoy the work I do and I think that when I finally finish my with doctorate that I ultimately want to be a college professor.  Besides going to school on a volunteer basis Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, I also work my butt off at the restaurant.  As my followers know I am a waitress/bartender.  This job pretty much takes up most of my other free time because now that I am not in school ALL those student loans have come into repayment :( <--this is my sad boo boo face.  Well it's not quite so bad but I just have to work every day I am not over at the school.  I am currently looking to get another job too!  I am not trying to find what I call "a real people job" yet because the jobs that I am qualified for with just a Bachelors of Science in Psychology are few and far between and most of them I could do without a degree!  I am waiting to start my job search until after I get my Masters in Modeling and Simulation, psychology track, and then my Doctorate in Human Factors and Experimental Psychology.  Wow say those 10x fast!  Anyway most of this is quite boring to read about but I have been quite busy and I haven't had time to prettify myself in front of the camera for some time.  I also have been saving every penny I get so NO HAULS for me in quite some time either.  I might start up a "Prettifulmakup on a budget" series of videos.  I am also still on my workout kick too.  I watch Zusana on BodyRock.tv all the time.  She has a youtube page of course, it's charliejames1975 and it's great fun to watch.  I also just recently bought a hybrid specialized bike so I can save gas by riding my bike to school.  I bought the hybrid kind so that I can also do light bike trails with my bf.  I am trying to get outside more and exercise since the weather down here is so amazing.  The bike is really great and I have gone to school about 3 times so far on it and my legs KILL!  These are muscles that I haven't used in a while since I hadn't really been on a bicycle too frequently in the past.  Ever since I got it though I want to ride everywhere!  I will post pictures of the bike as soon as I can.  I want to try and sync my phone to this blog so I can upload things while I am on the go!  Well I hope I have updated you enough and I hope to start making these posts regular again.  Love you all and have a great, fantastic day!

Garlic Butter Chicken with Avocado and Tomato Salad

So if you watch my YouTube you will know that I posted a cooking video last night.  I am on a new diet/workout routine.  You may think that "diet" means restricting food intake and the yo-yo fad gimmicks but "diet" to me just means the food I eat.  I wanted to change the food I eat by maybe cutting back on sweets and fats and boosting proteins and veggies.  Basically I just wanted to eat healthier than I was eating before.  I have started tracking my weight, workouts, and diet on YouTube and I will sprinkle those videos throughout my makeup stuff.  I will also be tracking these things on here for you too!  The main reason for this post though was to give you guys the recipe for the chicken dinner I made last night.
You will need:
 FOR CHICKEN

2 boneless skinless chicken breasts
 DRY MIXTURE:
1/2 cup Italian breadcrumbs
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese
Parsley flakes
Oregano flakes
salt and pepper to taste
MOIST MIXTURE
1/2 cup melted butter
2 tbs minced garlic

Combine minced butter and a 1/2 cup softened butter in a microwave safe bowl and microwave on high until butter is completely melted.
Mix all ingredients for the Dry Mixture together in another bowl.
Take chicken breast and dip in butter garlic mixture then dip into dry mixture and place in a tin foiled lined baking dish/baking dish sprayed with Pam.

Bake at 375 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes (sometimes quicker depending on size of chicken breast).

You will need:
FOR SALAD

two small-medium avocados
two medium-large tomatoes
extra-virgin olive oil
balsamic vinegar
salt and pepper to taste
fresh lemon juice

Cube avocado into bite size chunks and add to a salad bowl.
Cube tomatoes into bite size chunks and add to salad bowl.
Dress with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
Juice 1 lemon for fresh lemon juice and drizzle over salad.
Add salt and pepper to taste.

ENJOY!

I love my Luxy Extensions!

I truly love my luxy hair extensions.  I got them about a week ago and I have pretty much worn them just about every day.  I have been wearing them curled mostly, just because my short layers are more hidden when the extensions are curled but whether they are pin straight or curled they are fabulous.  I will be posting a video on YouTube doing a tutorial on how I put them in and also how I curl them.  I also purchased a new curling iron because mine shot the crapper so I just got the curling iron that one of the Luxy sisters (youtube hair guru) was using in one of her hair tutorial videos.  I got the Enzo Milano 1" clipless curling iron and that is another one of my favorites right now.  So stay tuned for a video tutorial!!

I think that the Transformers Movies are fantastic so when my boyfriend (who works out at the space center) told me they were filming there I flipped out and got really excited.  He sent me a few pictures he took of the Autobots!  I guess the Decepticons are using the VAB (Vehicle Assembly Building) out there at the space center as a base or something.  Patrick told me they will be filming all week.  Shia LaBeouf was there yesterday!  A guy in Patrick's group got to be an extra in the film so I asked if maybe I could get an autograph or something lol!  Enjoy the pictures!
